Plazh Obzor

Obzor Beach — the broad band of sand fronting the Obzor resort, on the southern Black Sea coast, roughly midway between Varna and Burgas. Tucked at the foot of the wooded Balkan hills, Obzor pairs the sea with greenery behind it and keeps a more relaxed pace than the big resorts, making it a good choice for an easygoing family holiday.

The sand is golden and pleasant underfoot, and the sea entry is gentle, sloping away gradually. The water deepens steadily, without abrupt depths, giving a comfortable and safe shoreline for swimming.

Good to know The swimming season generally runs from May to September. Thanks to the gentle entry and fine sand, the beach is especially suited to families with children. The easiest way in is by car, with Obzor sitting right on the road between Varna and Burgas and within reach of both airports. Pack sun protection, water and your own umbrella for guaranteed shade, as facilities may differ from one part of the beach to another.
