Central Beach

Central Beach is Obzor's main strand, right in the heart of this resort on Bulgaria's southern Black Sea coast. It is the most convenient beach in town, with direct access from the centre and the same relaxed, family-friendly mood that defines Obzor — a quieter, greener destination at the foot of the Balkan mountains.

Sand and water entry The sand is golden and pleasant underfoot, and the entry into the sea is gradual: the water deepens steadily from the shore with no sudden drop-offs. It is the kind of shoreline where children can play safely in the shallows, typical of Obzor's gentle bay. The Black Sea has no tides, and on clear summer mornings the water is usually calm.

Practical notes The bathing season runs roughly from May to September, peaking for warmth in July and August. As the central beach, it is the easiest to reach on foot, close to accommodation, shops and restaurants. Obzor lies on the coast road between Varna and Burgas, both served by international airports. For a good day you will want sun protection, water and perhaps an umbrella; for sunbeds, lifeguards or other facilities, check what is on offer on site, as it changes from season to season.
