What early booking actually is
Hotels on the Bulgarian coast sell part of their rooms months ahead at a reduced rate, to lock in occupancy. In exchange you pay a deposit and accept stricter cancellation terms than on a normal booking.
Discounts shrink as the season approaches. The best offers are usually the first ones, in autumn and winter; by spring what is left tends to be the pricier or less popular rooms.
When 2027 offers appear
The calendar varies by hotel, but the usual pattern is: first offers from autumn, the main wave in winter, and deadlines closing in spring, typically somewhere between February and April.
As of this page (30 September 2026) most hotels have not published 2027 rates yet. It is worth watching the hotels you care about from now on — indicative timing, not a guaranteed calendar.
How large the discounts are
In the Bulgarian market, early-booking discounts usually land between 20% and 40%, depending on the hotel, the dates and how early you book. Some also add non-monetary perks: a room upgrade, a transfer, a child staying free, an extra meal.
The real figure only shows in the hotel's actual offer — compare it with the list price for the same dates, not with peak-season pricing. A “−40%” measured against an inflated baseline is not a discount.
What to check before paying a deposit
The cancellation policy. Until when you can cancel without penalty, and what happens to the deposit. This is the real difference in risk versus a normal booking.
What the rate includes. All-inclusive is not a standard: included drinks, bar hours, à la carte restaurants and sunbeds at the beach or pool all vary.
Season surcharges. Some periods (mid-August, holidays) carry separate rates even inside an early-booking offer.
Who the seller is. Booking direct, through an agency or on a platform means different cancellation terms and different protections.
