Who we are
My Bulgaria Online is an independent editorial guide to Bulgaria. You can reach us at contact@mybulgaria.online or on +40 741 222 535.

What we collect
Traffic and usage data, via Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, time on site, device type, traffic source and approximate location derived from your IP address. It starts with consent denied and only activates if you press “Accept” in the cookie banner.
Data you send us: your name, email address and message from the contact or partner form; your name and text if you leave a review for a place in the guide.
We never ask for or store card details. We do not intentionally collect sensitive data and do not target children under 16.
Why we use it (legal bases)
Consent — for analytics and marketing cookies. You can withdraw it at any time.
Legitimate interest — to keep the site working and secure, and to understand in aggregate which content is useful.
Handling your request — when you write through a form, we use your details to reply.
Who we share it with
We work with providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:
Google Ireland Ltd. — Google Analytics 4 (traffic statistics).
Supabase Inc. — the database storing reviews and partner enquiries.
Web3Forms — delivering contact form messages to our inbox.
Booking and affiliate partners — Stay22, GetYourGuide and Travelpayouts (Aviasales, Kiwitaxi, LocalRent, EKTA, Klook, Tiqets, Compensair). When you click such a link you are taken to the partner's site, which processes your data under its own policy.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Traffic statistics are kept according to Google Analytics retention settings. Form messages are kept as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of correspondence. Reviews stay published until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to contact@mybulgaria.online and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), Bd. G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Bucharest.
