Heros Beach

Heros Beach lies in the Balchik area on the northern Black Sea coast, one of the most scenic stretches of the Bulgarian shore, where cliffs and hills tumble down toward the sea. It is a more secluded, quiet beach, well suited to anyone after calm away from the bustle of the big resorts.

The sand is mixed, and the sea entry is gradual, the water deepening gently from the shore. The wilder character of the northern coast gives the beach an intimate feel, with handsome scenery all around.

The beach is best for quiet: a good choice for a calm day by the sea away from the crowds. The beach season runs roughly from May to September, with the warmest water in July and August. The easiest approach is by car from Balchik or Varna along the northern coastal road. As a quieter spot, come prepared with a parasol, water and sun protection.
