Drivers' Beach

Drivers' Beach sits in the Duni area on the southern Black Sea coast, a stretch of shore valued for its natural setting and its well-kept sand. It is the kind of beach that earns high marks precisely because it pairs pleasant sand with a relaxed mood, away from the bustle of the big resorts.

Sand and getting in The sand is golden, fine to the eye and warm underfoot, and the entry into the sea is gradual — the depth rises smoothly from the shore, with no sudden shelves. It is a shoreline where children can paddle safely close to the water and adults can wade in calmly, at their own pace. On clear summer days the sea here is generally settled, with small waves.

The combination of golden sand and a gentle slope makes the beach especially well suited to families with children. The swimming season runs roughly from May to September, with the peak heat in midsummer. The Duni area is reachable by road along the southern coastal corridor, near Sozopol and the Burgas bay. As a practical note that holds for any open beach here: bring water, sunscreen and something to make your own shade, since the sand offers no natural cover from the sun.
