About Arkutino Beach

Arkutino Beach is one of the best-loved stretches of shore on the southern Black Sea coast, in the Duni area beside the nature reserve of the same name. It is a place where golden sand meets a striking natural landscape — dunes, vegetation and protected ground — which gives it a charm that feels wilder than the resort beaches.

Sand and getting in The sand is golden, fine and warm, a pleasure to walk barefoot, and the entry into the sea is gradual: the depth rises smoothly from the shore, with no unexpected shelves. It is a gentle shoreline where children can play in the shallows and cautious swimmers can wade in without nerves. On calm summer days the sea here is generally settled, with small waves.

The golden sand and easy slope make Arkutino a strong choice for families with children, while the natural setting around it turns a day on the beach into a dose of nature too. The swimming season runs roughly from May to September, peaking in midsummer. The Duni area is reachable by road along the southern coastal corridor, near Sozopol. Because it sits beside a protected area, it's worth treating the place with care: bring water, sunscreen and a source of shade, and leave the beach clean behind you.
