About Adora Beach
Adora Beach is part of the string of beaches around Balchik on Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast. Like most of the coastline around this port town, it has a quieter, relaxed character, away from the bustle of the big southern resorts — a good spot for a settled day on the sand, perhaps paired with a walk along Balchik's waterfront.
Sand and getting in The shore is mixed, with sand alternating with patches of shingle and stone, typical of the northern coast's coves. Entry into the sea is gradual, shelving gently from the shore, well suited to calm bathing.
Practical The bathing season runs roughly from May to September, peaking in July and August. As a quiet-leaning beach it suits anyone after a relaxed day, couples, and visitors exploring the coast around Balchik. It's most easily reached by car from nearby Balchik and Varna. On a mixed shore water shoes are handy; bring sun protection, water and what you need, as facilities can be more modest than on the town's central beaches.
