About Saxa Beach
Saxa Beach lies in the Burgas area on the southern Black Sea coast — the part of the Bulgarian shore where broad bays and sand spread out near the south's largest port city. It is an easy beach to fold into a holiday in the region, with good access thanks to Burgas's road connections.
Sand and getting in Here the sand is coarser — larger grains that feel different underfoot than fine sand, but that brush off skin and belongings more easily in return. The entry into the sea is gradual, with depth building slowly and no sudden shelves, which keeps the water near the shore approachable. On warm, clear days the sea here is generally settled.
The easy-to-walk sand and the gentle slope make the beach well suited to families with children, who can wade into the shallows without worry. The beach season runs roughly from May to September, peaking in the height of summer. Being in Burgas's orbit, road access is simple, and the city provides everything you need for a holiday base. As everywhere on the open coast, it's worth bringing water, sunscreen and a source of shade.
