Pazardzhik Zoo

Pazardzhik Zoo is a family attraction in south-central Bulgaria, on the edge of the Rhodope Mountains. It makes a good stop especially for those travelling with children and looking for a relaxed activity away from the mountain trails.

What to see

Like most town zoos, it houses a collection of animals in landscaped enclosures, with walking paths between them. It's a pleasant place for a visit of a couple of hours, particularly for younger visitors.

Practical

It is easily reached by car, close to Pazardzhik and to the Tsigov Chark holiday area by Lake Batak — a good base for a mountain break. We recommend checking opening hours and admission prices in advance, as these can change with the season.
