Ploshtad Nikolay Gyaurov

Nikolay Gyaurov Square is a small landmark in the Tsigov Chark area, in the heart of the Rodopi (Rhodope) Mountains. Its name honours Nicolai Ghiaurov, one of the greatest Bulgarian opera singers, a world-renowned bass who came from this part of the country.

As a public space, the square works more as an orientation point and meeting place than an attraction in its own right, a natural stop on a walk through the area.
