Nude Beach - Nudistki plazh

On Bulgaria's southern coast, in the Arkutino area near the Ropotamo reserve, a naturist (nude) beach stretches away from the crowds of the big resorts. Unlike the organised beaches, it is valued above all for its wild, quiet setting: sand, dunes and vegetation, along one of the loveliest stretches of protected coastline in the country.

What to expect This is a beach first and foremost for those seeking privacy, naturalness and a landscape little touched by mass tourism. Facilities are usually minimal or absent, and the charm lies precisely in its secluded character. Respect the nature of the place and the other visitors; as this is an area with a sensitive natural status, behave responsibly and leave no trace.

Practical The Arkutino area lies south of Burgas, on the road towards Primorsko and Sozopol; access is easiest by car, followed by a short walk to the shore. Summer is the time to go; bring water, shade and whatever you need, as services may be lacking. Check the protected-area rules on site.
