Tsarkva "Vavedenie Bogorodichno" Orthodox church "Presentation of the Most Holy Theotokos"

The Church of the "Presentation of the Most Holy Theotokos" ("Vavedenie Bogorodichno") in Dobrinishte is the Orthodox church dedicated to one of the great Marian feasts of Orthodoxy. It stands in the small mountain town of Dobrinishte, in Pirin, next to Bansko and known for its thermal springs — a community church valued above all for its warm atmosphere and its place in local life.

The feast of the Presentation of the Mother of God (21 November) is the most important moment in the church's year, marked by a service and local customs. Inside, expect a simple, well-kept church with icons and a traditional iconostasis, in the natural manner of the Pirin region's places of worship. Practical Dobrinishte is a few kilometres from Bansko, easily reached by car and by the scenic Septemvri–Dobrinishte narrow-gauge railway. It is an active place of worship — enter modestly dressed and keep quiet, especially during services. It can be visited year-round. Nearby are the town's thermal baths, the gondola up into Pirin and the resort of Bansko.
