South Beach St.St.Constantine and Helena

South Beach is one of the beaches at St. Constantine and Helena, the oldest resort on the Bulgarian coast, set on the northern shore very close to Varna. The resort has a green, settled feel, with parks and greenery running down toward the sea — a setting that makes it pleasant for family beach days, without the bustle of the big southern complexes.

Sand and getting in The shore is golden, fine sand, pleasant underfoot. Entry into the sea is gradual, shelving gently over a strip from the shore — the water stays shallow for several metres, an important plus for families with children and for relaxed bathing.

Practical The bathing season runs roughly from May to September, peaking in July and August. With its fine sand and gentle entry, South Beach is especially suited to families, but also to anyone wanting a calm day by the sea. The resort is very easy to reach from Varna, just a few kilometres away, by car or local transport; around it you'll find hotels, restaurants and the resort's characteristic green spaces.
