About Sahara beach
Sahara Beach is one of the stretches of shore in Sveti Konstantin i Elena, the oldest resort on the Bulgarian coast, set north of Varna in a notably green setting. The resort's little coves, fringed by pines and shady trees, give the area a relaxed feel, well away from the crowds of the bigger resorts.
The beach is golden sand with a gentle, gradually deepening entry — exactly the profile families with children and more cautious swimmers look for. The Black Sea here is less salty than the Mediterranean and warms up well at the height of the season, with generally small waves on ordinary days.
The swimming season runs roughly from May to September, with the water at its most pleasant in July and August. Sahara Beach suits families and anyone wanting a quiet day by the sea. It is an easy drive from Varna, or reachable by the resort's local transport. Bring an umbrella, water and beach shoes; for sunbeds and drink stands, check availability at the beach itself, as it varies from season to season.
