About Seaside Park
The Seaside Park of Golden Sands
The park that frames the Golden Sands resort is a green ribbon set between the cliffside hotels and the broad strip of fine sand. More than a simple promenade, it forms part of the Zlatni Pyasatsi (Golden Sands) Nature Park, a protected area of Mediterranean vegetation and deciduous woodland that tumbles down toward the sea — a pleasant contrast to the bustle of the resort.
What to see and do
Here you find shaded paths, green spaces and viewpoints over the Black Sea, ideal for a relaxed walk in the morning or evening. The lush vegetation brings coolness on sweltering summer days, and the trails allow short hikes away from the crowded beach. For those drawn to nature, the nature park behind the resort shelters plant and bird species, as well as the nearby Aladzha rock monastery, a monument carved into the cliff that deserves a separate visit.
Practical
The park is reachable on foot directly from the resort, woven into the hotel zone. Golden Sands lies north of Varna, linked to the city by frequent buses. The most pleasant time for a walk is early morning or toward evening, when the heat eases. Combine the visit with a beach day and, if you have time, a trip to the Aladzha monastery.
