About Priroden Park Zlatni Pyasatsi
The Golden Sands Nature Park (Zlatni Pyasatsi) is a quiet green strip right beside one of the best-known resorts on the Bulgarian coast. Although small compared with the country's large nature parks, it offers a welcome contrast to the busy beaches: dense forest, shaded trails and cool air, just steps from the sea.
What to see The park protects a deciduous forest and hilly terrain crossed by well-marked hiking trails. Among its notable sights is the Aladzha rock monastery, a medieval monastic complex carved into the cliff and one of the most interesting historical attractions in the area. The rich vegetation and calm make the park a good place for walks, nature watching and short excursions away from the bustle of the resort. Here and there, views open toward the coast and the surrounding woodland.
Practical The park sits immediately beside Golden Sands resort, easy to reach on foot from the hotel zone or by car or bus from Varna. The most pleasant time is from spring to autumn, and in summer the forest offers welcome shade on hot days. Wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water, especially if you want to reach the Aladzha monastery. Combine your visit with a beach day in the resort or a trip toward Varna and the northern coast. For trail details and any entrance fees at individual sites, check the official information.
