About Kashta s krakata nagore/Dom vverh nogami/Upside down house
The Upside Down House
On Bulgaria's southern coast, near Sunny Beach (Slanchev Bryag), the "Upside Down House" is one of those attractions built purely for photos and family fun. The whole structure is put up in reverse: the roof sits low, the foundation up high, and the interior — furniture, appliances, household objects — is fixed to the ceiling, as if gravity worked backwards. It's a short experience, more a curiosity than a monument, but very popular in warm weather when the beach calls for a break from the sun.
What you'll see
The house mimics an ordinary home — kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom — all "stuck" to the ceiling above your head. The trick is purely visual: tilted walls and overturned furniture create that pleasant sense of disorientation. Most visitors come for the playful photos, appearing to walk on the ceiling or hang in mid-air. With good angles you'll get memorable shots for social media.
Practical
The attraction sits within the Sunny Beach resort area, easy to reach on foot or by local transport from nearby complexes. A visit is usually quick, so it pairs well with a stroll along the promenade or a beach day. Check the schedule and ticket price on site or online before going, as both can vary by season. Best suited to families with children.
