Kranevo Beach

Kranevo Beach is the broad beach of the Kranevo resort, set exactly halfway between Golden Sands and Albena on Bulgaria's northern coast. Kranevo is a quieter and more affordable resort than its big neighbours, popular with families and with travellers after a relaxed seaside holiday without the bustle of the large complexes.

What to see and do The beach stretches along a long ribbon of sand, bordered to the north by the Albena zone, with a gentle entry into the water that makes it suitable for children. Practical Kranevo is easily reached by car along the northern coastal road and by the buses linking Varna, Golden Sands and Albena. The beach season runs from June to September, peaking in July and August. Its central position makes Kranevo a good base for day trips: to Golden Sands and the Aladzha Monastery, to Albena, or to Balchik with its Queen Marie palace and botanical garden.
