About East beach Pomorie
East Beach Pomorie runs along the open-sea side of the old peninsula on the southern Black Sea coast. Pomorie is a small town long known for its salt lake and its tradition of therapeutic mud, and its eastern, seaward stretch has a more open, airier feel than the beaches tucked inside the bay.
The sand is coarse-grained; the Pomorie area is also known for its mineral-rich black sand, tied to the salt lagoon. The entry into the water is gradual, shelving gently and comfortable for swimming. Being a more exposed side, breeze and waves can be a touch more present than in the sheltered spots — though the tideless Black Sea still keeps the water level constant.
Beach season runs broadly from May to September. The beach suits travellers drawn to nature and to a wider, open-sea setting — the nearness of Pomorie Lake rounds out the experience. The town is easy to reach from Burgas, a short way south and home to the nearest airport. For a comfortable day, bring water, sun protection and an umbrella. With a 4.6-out-of-5 rating, it is among the town's best-loved beaches.
